2008 Exam Dates / Cities

Please Note: All exams regardless of date begin at 8AM with candidate check-in.  Formal exam begins at 8:30 with the reading of exam instructions.  Once the reading of instructions is completed, the exam begins.  Candidates have 3 hours in which to complete the exam. 

 

 

Examination Schedule for all Test Days:

8:00 a.m. Candidate check in for the exam - bring photo ID and admission letter, Number 2 pencils, and erasure. Calculators not needed, nor allowed.

8:30 a.m. Reading of candidate / exam instructions begins.

After reading of instructions has ended, and all questions answered, the examination begins.

12:00 p.m. (approx) Examination ends 3 hours after start. Actual end time depends on actual start time. Typically the exam ends by 12:00 p.m.

Candidates finishing early are allowed to leave the testing room.

The second 2008 national exam will be offered June 14 in various U.S. cities (Friday, June 13 for Atlanta, GA) and one location in Mexico.  Online Registration now open.  Click here.

The exam will be offered prior to the ASBDC National Conference in Chicago at the Hyatt Regency Chicago hotel - downtown.  Registration for the ASBDC Conference not required, though encouraged for trade educators, and SBDCs.  Conference details.  Exam check-in at 8AM.  Exam start at 8:30 AM.

Online registration will open June 20, 2008.

March 6, 2008 - Washington, DC
The exam was offered prior to the start of the NASBITE 2008 Conference in Washington.  Conference hotel is the Doubletree Crystal City. 

ADDITIONAL TEST LOCATIONS

Additional examinations locations may be added - but only on an existing national exam date. Please contact the CGBP Director, Mr. Jim Foley, Bradley University at (309) 677-3075 or jff@bradley.edu. A minimum of six candidates must register to secure a separate test location. Though there is no additional cost to add a separate test location, NASBITE may choose to not add a location that is considered too close to an existing test location.

Feb 24, 2007
The first exam in 2007 was Saturday, Feb 24 with 36 candidates.  28 passed.

April 1, 2007 - Vancouver, Canada / Exam was offered prior to the NASBITE 2007 Conference in Vancouver, Canada, held in conjunction with the FITT National Conference

June 15 and 16, 2007
The second 2007 national exam was offered June 15 and 16 in 12 U.S. cities. There were 123 candidates.  93 Passed. For informational purposes, here were the test cities:

September 17, 2007 - Denver The CGBP exam was offered during the ASBDC 2007 conference in Denver, CO on Monday morning, prior to conference openinig luncheon at noon. 

Historical Infomation for Reference  Innagural Exam:
The innagural NASBITE CGBP Exam was given at the NASBITE 2005 Conference in New Orleans on March 20, 2005.  The second exam in 2005 was the first nationally-administered exam and was held on June 18.

2006 Exams

JANUARY 14, 2006

The first 2006 national CGBP Exam date was January 14. 

April 19 - NASBITE National Conference

In adidition to the two national exams in January and June, candidates were able to take the exam prior to the NASBITE annual conference in Orlando, Florida.
